Lyrics
Desc: Suggested tune: “Country Roads”, “Let It Be” or your own (Intro – spoken) Once upon a time, there was a piece of software. No one remembers who installed it first. But it worked. Quietly. On Windows. On Linux. We simply call it: Zett. (Verse 1) Zett lives on, behind the screen, on servers old, and rarely clean. With dialogs and dropdown bliss, you enter values – hit "dismiss". The interface is rather bold, but don't go clicking uncontrolled. It likes it slow, it likes it neat – or else it freezes on repeat. (Chorus) Oh Zett, our trusty friend, you’ve stood the test, you never end. You print to PDF with grace – unless you crash right in our face. (Verse 2) Reports? Of course – just click and wait, a PDF will generate. Real printers? No, that’s not its game, just virtual docs – it’s not to blame. But now and then, if clicked too fast, the window vanishes real fast. A restart helps, and then you’re free – but hey, that’s rare – mostly it’s Zett. (Chorus) Oh Z, you're holding strong, you’ve proved the doubters mostly wrong. For fifteen years they’ve planned your fate – but somehow, you're still up-to-date. (Verse 3) On Linux things go not so smooth, too long a path – Zett gets uncouth. It doesn’t whine, it doesn’t cry, just quits with silence – no goodbye. A teammate once said, kinda smug: “With Java Strings, that’d be a shrug!” But Zett just smiles, still standing tall – outliving every overhaul. (Final Chorus) Oh Zett, you legend rare, no shiny tool can quite compare. You’re not the newest, not the sleek – but you’re still running every week. Oh Zett, our faithful knight, you’re not fast – but you are right. You’re still the one they turn to yet – long live the system… they call Zett! (Outro – spoken) And when it’s not crashing – it’s running. Silently. Reliably. Zett.
